THE LIES TOLD US AND THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR ARMS
THE LIES TOLD US AND TRUTH ABOUT IT

September 2025 and it’s Week number four and my lungs are still filling with crud.
Let me add pain in upper arms when I raise my arms above my head.
Sometimes pain when im sitting doing nothing.
One of the highly respected professionals that I really like Laura Dawn had this today.
Isn’t this interesting…
There are many words I don’t understand , the pictures say everything .
And this my friend is what can happen having implants.
I am certain my explant was not complete .
I am certain the remains are affecting my lungs, my arms, weight, my spots, choking on cold water again, tongue swelling. Eyes are constantly red. I shut down at least once a week to get my energy back.
I am staying in close contact with professionals and grateful to be able to.
Our groups are the best. Thank you so much.

“Effects of Having Implants Under Pectoral Muscles
The following is a great write-up on what exactly happens when breast implants are placed under our pectoral muscles.
This is just one of the MANY aspects of reconstruction that many of us are not fully aware of going into our surgery. And one that HAD we been fully informed about, would likely be another of the many reasons why we would NOT have chosen reconstruction for ourselves at all!
When explanting, make sure to talk to your surgeon about wanting “muscle repair” done if your implants were placed under the muscle.
Thank you, Renee Ridgeley for your work below discussing this procedure of under the muscle implant placement:
“Sacrificing the pec muscles. Probably the most downplayed aspect of #breastreconstruction. Women are told their muscles are going to be “lifted”. Does this image look like the muscle is lifted?
Yes... after it’s cut, severed, dissected, surgically released (take your pick of descriptive verbs) then it’s lifted - and still it has to be separated off the pec minor & ribs just so the edge of an implant can be hidden under the muscle.
Do #breastcancer patients get nice cleavage as intended? Rarely. What is likely after #underthemuscle #implants that is not discussed before #mastectomy? Worse post-surgical pain, frozen shoulder, upper quadrant dysfunction, loss in range of motion, #animationdeformity and chronic pain.
Take a look at the next images. Breast stroma, fat, ducts, lobules all sit on top of the pectoralis muscle. Take away the tissue and voila- there’s a place to put an implant. Next image: the massive pec muscle - the giant “fan” muscle we will all remember from high school biology. Want to know what this muscle does? Search Wikipedia #pectoralismajor. It serves to keep your arm attached to your shoulder, connects to the humerus, deltoid, clavicle, sternum and is necessary in gazillions of activities.
